The holidays are over and you've successfully endured another year of black Friday deals followed by small business Saturday sales followed by cyber Monday madness. Wheeeeeew!
The New Year is traditionally a time for people to make resolutions; a fresh start and a chance to fulfill the hopes and dreams in the year ahead. I'm one of those traditional people who make New Year's resolutions and I write them down to reflect and review the previous year.
I'm a proponent of life-long learning and work tirelessly to expand my skills, explore new techniques, and allow myself to be inspired by the field I love. I always include learning new skills in my New Year's resolutions.
Did you know I teach jewelry making classes? I'm currently an instructor at BARN, The Bainbridge Artisans Resource Network. I've developed successful lapidary and enameling programs while also serving different volunteer roles on the jewelry studio Steering Committee.
While you may not be close enough to take one of my classes (though you should if you are!), I encourage you to add "taking a new class" to your New Year's resolutions. Get inspired and create!
