As a jewelry designer, I always look forward to the Pantone Color Institute's annual color selection, knowing it will shape trends in fashion, design, and beyond. For 2024, they've chosen “Peach Fuzz,” a warm, inviting shade that blends the freshness of orange with the softness of pink. This vibrant yet soothing color has already made a significant impact in fashion and jewelry, shaping the aesthetic for the year.
Peach Fuzz resonates deeply with its ability to evoke warmth, joy, and optimism. In a world craving comfort and positivity, this color offers a visual balm, reminding us of life's beauty and vibrancy. Its warm undertones and subtle vibrancy make it an ideal choice for spring and summer collections.
In my designs, I've embraced gemstones that reflect or complement Peach Fuzz, such as morganite and peach moonstone (June’s birthstone). Imperial topaz, and opal from Oregon are other gemstones that have warm hues. Padparadscha sapphire is another rare gemstone that is highly sought after. I have to admit, I have one that I haven’t been able to bring myself to set in a ring yet (I needs it, my precious!)... so stay tuned.
