When designing my newest charm shape, I was drawn to the idea of creating a symbol—something that could hold multiple meanings for the wearer. I wanted a form that felt timeless yet bold, rich with history, geometry, and quiet significance.
The diamond shape, like the one found in a deck of cards, has long been my favorite of the four suits. Its clean lines and modern aesthetic are instantly recognizable, but its story goes much deeper. In the language of playing cards, diamonds represented the merchant class—craftspeople, traders, and makers. People who built their lives through skill and dedication. That lineage felt fitting.
Beyond the card table, the diamond shape—technically a rhombus—has appeared in sacred geometry, where it symbolizes balance, clarity, and transformation. Its four equal sides and pointed angles create a form that feels both grounded and in motion. In heraldry, it was used to frame the coats of arms for unmarried women, a quiet marker of independence and personal identity.
For me, it’s also a reflection of what happens in the studio: raw material shaped by hand, made intentional through precision and patience. Each charm in this new collection features a diamond silhouette, hand-cut zodiac birthstone, and a traditional birthstone accent set directly into the stone—a celebration of duality, balance, and individuality. With alternate stones for each zodiac sign, I’ve created 24 distinct charms to honor every month and star sign pairing.
This shape speaks to clarity of self, craftsmanship, and inner strength. It’s a reminder that what you wear close to your heart should hold meaning—personal, symbolic, and beautifully your own.
