Malachite azurite is a blend of two gemstones. They are often found in or near copper mines.
Malachite azurite's oldest mine is in Isarel and has been in operation for over 3000 years. Ancient Egyptians once used azurite to create the protective blue eye of Horus. The word malachite comes from the Greek word molochitis, meaning mallow plant.
Wash in warm soapy water.
