Believed to highten intuition and increase creativity. Also believed to be a grounding and protecting stone.

Bloodstone (also known as heliotrope), gets it's name from the Greek words helios "sun", and trepein "to turn". Colors come from green jasper and red hematite.

 Bloodstone is a type of chalcedony and typically cut as cabochons but sometimes can be found faceted. 

Used by the Babylonians to make seals and amulets.

Wash in warm soapy water.
