Amazonite gets it's name from the Amazon river where the stones were said to be found many years ago. Has been found in China, Australia, South Africa, and the United States.

Officially discovered in the 18th century, amazonite has been used long beforehand. Used by many ancient civilizations for decorative purposes, talismans, and writing slabs.

Wash in warm soapy water.
