Green aventurine is often found in a mid to light green color, and due to fuchsite inclusions. Aventurine can also be yellow or red.
The name comes from the Italian word "ventura", meaning lucky or random. referencing the accidental creation of a similar-looking glass by Venetian glassmakers. The glass, now known as Goldstone led to the name being given to the natural gemstone in the 18th century.
